Acacia Confusa or Mimosa Hostilis

What are the main differences between the root bark powders?

Mimosa hostilis has a higher yield in terms of the natural tannins and alkaloids and it contains less lipids. This is why some people prefer working with MHRB compared to ACRB. Acacia confusa root bark has a higher percentage of natural plant fats and a higher amount of other naturally occurring alkaloids compared to Mimosa hostilis.

Mimosa hostilis root bark powder has a purple colour, sometimes darker or lighter, depending on the season. Acacia confusa root bark powder has a more orange colour. ACRB also has a pleasant smell, while MHRB has an interesting earthy odor. Acacia Confusa or Mimosa Hostilis? What should you choose?

Mimosa hostilis root bark has a long history of uses. Ancient tribes in Brazil regularly prepare a drink known as “vinho de jurema” (wine of jurema which is another name for Mimosa hostilis). I use whatever I can get my hands on, MHRB powder or Acacia confusa are both great. I do like the purple Mimosa more though, just more teks around.
Try searching online, many forums, especially D M T Nexus etc. Or even shroomery.org.

They also smell different. Acacia confusa has a pleasant aroma, while mimosa hostilis smells like dry soil almost. The purple color is amazing though in MHRB. 😀
